Two entry roles create one clear path from supported contributor to project leader.

Freshmen begin as Junior Analysts, learning how a professional project operates while executing meaningful work with guidance. Sophomores and above begin as Senior Analysts, taking ownership of advanced workstreams and helping maintain the team's standard of quality.

As members develop, they can move into Project Manager and club leadership positions where they plan engagements, guide teams, manage client communication, and shape BoilerWork's future.

Each role is designed to build the judgment, confidence, and leadership required for the next level of responsibility.

Junior Analyst

Freshmen only

Begin as a learner and executor on a BoilerWork project team. Junior Analysts complete meaningful work with guidance while learning how a client engagement moves from a defined problem to a data-backed solution.

What you will do

  • Support research, analysis, and project deliverables
  • Complete defined work with guidance from experienced teammates
  • Participate in team meetings, reviews, and client preparation
  • Build confidence by contributing throughout the project process

Senior Analyst

Sophomores and above

Own the execution of major workstreams and help set the standard for project quality. Senior Analysts handle advanced work, turn findings into recommendations, and help newer analysts succeed.

What you will do

  • Lead important workstreams from definition through delivery
  • Complete advanced analytical and technical assignments
  • Review work for accuracy, consistency, and business relevance
  • Surface progress, risks, and decisions to the Project Manager

Project Manager is a growth opportunity for experienced members. PMs are accountable for how the engagement is planned, communicated, and delivered.
